Collaboration aims to enhance the utility provider's DR Program, including self-assessment, training and awareness, and ransomware response assessment.

A prominent utility provider in the Northwest, serving over 570,000 customers across Idaho and eastern Oregon, has announced a strategic partnership with MHA Consulting to improve its disaster recovery (DR) program. This collaboration aims to bolster the utility provider's DR Program self-assessment, DR Training & Awareness Program, and complete Ransomware Response Assessment.

As the utility industry faces increasing challenges from natural disasters and cyber threats, it is essential for companies to continually assess and improve their DR programs. The partnership with MHA Consulting will ensure that the utility provider is well-equipped to handle any potential disruptions, minimizing downtime and ensuring the continued delivery of reliable, affordable, and clean energy to its customers.

MHA Consulting will work closely with the utility provider to conduct a comprehensive DR Program self-assessment, identifying areas of improvement and opportunities for optimization. This assessment will enable the utility provider to enhance its disaster recovery strategies and ensure the resilience of its critical infrastructure.

In addition, MHA Consulting will develop a robust DR Training & Awareness Program for the utility provider's employees. This program will provide staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively respond to disasters, ensuring a quick and efficient recovery process.

Finally, the collaboration will include a complete Ransomware Response Assessment, addressing the growing threat of ransomware attacks on utility providers. This assessment will help the utility provider identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to prevent, detect, and respond to ransomware threats.

"We are honored to collaborate with this utility in their pursuit of a robust and comprehensive disaster recovery program. Our team at MHA Consulting is dedicated to helping them strengthen their DR program and to ensure resilience against potential ransomware attacks," said Michael Herrera, CEO of MHA Consulting. "It is our mission to provide expert guidance and support, enabling them to continue delivering reliable, affordable, and clean energy to their customers while maintaining the highest level of security and preparedness."
