MHA Consulting, in partnership with Kroll, has been engaged by a leading healthcare system to design and facilitate an onsite crisis response exercise for senior leadership and critical support teams. The initiative is aimed at strengthening preparedness, decision-making, and communications during complex crises affecting patient care and organizational operations.
The exercise will simulate real-world scenarios involving cyber threats, supply chain disruptions, and other high-impact events unique to the healthcare sector. Leadership and cross-functional teams will engage in time-sensitive decision-making and crisis communications, allowing observers to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in real time.
The engagement includes customized scenario development, live facilitation, and comprehensive post-exercise reporting with actionable recommendations. Findings will help the organization refine its response plans, strengthen coordination between departments, and align processes with best practices and regulatory standards.
“Healthcare organizations face extraordinary pressures when responding to crises,” said Michael Herrera, CEO of MHA Consulting. “Exercises like this ensure that leadership teams are equipped to make informed, timely decisions that safeguard patient safety and maintain operational continuity.”
The project will culminate in a detailed report outlining lessons learned, prioritized recommendations, and ongoing training suggestions to help the organization sustain readiness and resilience.
