MHA Consulting, in collaboration with Kroll, has been selected by an advanced materials recycling company for a new business continuity consulting engagement focused on strengthening and maturing its Business Continuity Management framework. The work will provide flexible advisory support as the organization evaluates existing program components, addresses gaps, and advances continuity capabilities in line with evolving operational priorities.

Organizations operating in advanced materials recycling environments depend on coordinated operations, technology, facilities, people, suppliers, and other critical resources to maintain continuity. As those dependencies and business requirements change, a mature continuity program must provide leadership with a clear view of recovery priorities, operational risks, and the strategies needed to sustain critical activities during disruption.

Through this engagement, MHA Consulting, in collaboration with Kroll, will provide business continuity consulting across several areas of the organization’s BCM framework. The scope includes governance and program management, business impact analysis and risk considerations, continuity strategy, business continuity planning, crisis management and incident response integration, testing and exercising, continuous improvement, and regulatory and compliance considerations.

A key part of the work will be strengthening the connection between business continuity, crisis management, and incident response. The engagement will examine how these functions align, including escalation, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder notification, helping the organization develop a more coordinated approach to managing disruption.

“Strong business continuity programs have to evolve with the organization,” said Michael Herrera, CEO of MHA Consulting. “Governance, recovery priorities, planning, crisis response, and continuous improvement all need to work together. Having the ability to evaluate gaps as they emerge and focus attention where it is needed most helps organizations build a program that remains practical, relevant, and aligned with the business.”

The engagement will also support a more disciplined approach to program maturity by helping leadership evaluate current practices, identify improvement opportunities, and establish priorities for future development. Recommendations may address areas such as governance, recovery strategies, plan maintenance, exercise design, corrective actions, and alignment with applicable requirements and industry practices.

For MHA Consulting, this engagement reflects the value of sustained advisory support when continuity needs cannot be addressed through a single project or plan update. Working alongside Kroll, MHA Consulting will help the organization strengthen its BCM framework over time, connect continuity with crisis and incident response, and maintain a program that can adapt as operational priorities and risks change.
