MHA Consulting has been engaged by a regional utility provider to give advisory and technical support for strengthening its enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR) program. The engagement focuses on improving program maturity, validating risk posture, and reducing residual risk across critical technologies.

The project will include an in-depth review of the client’s current DR self-assessment, followed by the collaborative development of a customized risk assessment model aligned with industry standards and the organization’s defined risk appetite and tolerance. Using this model, MHA will evaluate a representative set of critical applications to identify vulnerabilities, assess control effectiveness, and quantify residual risk.

Deliverables will include a tailored risk assessment model, detailed assessment results for key systems, and a management report outlining findings, metrics, and strategic recommendations to enhance resilience and risk mitigation across the enterprise.

“Utilities play an essential role in regional stability, and their ability to recover quickly from disruptions is vital to the communities they serve,” said Michael Herrera, CEO of MHA Consulting. “By integrating structured risk modeling with real-world recovery planning, organizations can better prioritize investments and strengthen their readiness for future challenges.”
